Kyle J. Van Gorkom

About Me

I am an assistant research professor at Steward Observatory, University of Arizona, working on instrument development and wavefront sensing and control for the high contrast imaging of exoplanets.

Previously, I was an optical engineer at NASA Goddard
and a Research and Instrument Analyst at the Space Telescope Science Institute, working on project in astronomical optics for the Hubble and Webb Space Telescopes.

I graduated with my Ph.D. from the Wyant College of Optical Sciences in October 2021 and in May 2014 with a B.S. in physics and philosophy from Brandeis University.
